Love: Question of the Week

This week’s question is simple and straight forward. It was inspired by true events. I was out for dinner the other night with my gorgeous friend Holly, when I spotted my (spunky) dentist come into the same restaurant. I saw him, and MAYBE he saw me, but we didn’t say hello. We didn’t acknowledge each other.

My dentist has an intimate relationship with the inside of my mouth…and that is all. This includes my  25-year-old fillings, my plaque, and the forgotten food-stuff between my teeth.

Here’s my question…

Do you go out of your way to say hello to your dentist if you see them in public?

See…pretty straight forward question really. I guess this could also be asked about your GP.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.

Another question I have is, have you ever met a spunky dentist?

  1. I think if you make eye contact and they turn away, let it go. I had an ultrasound on my breast once and saw the make radiologist the next day at the shops. We made eye contact and I scurried away!

  2. I don’t think running into your dentist would be nearly as bad as running into your male Gynaecologist!! I would have to say “Hi”. He would probably say something like: “Oh hello! Sorry, I didn’t recognize your face!” haha

  3. I don’t know if this means I’m strange … but both my husband and I would go out of our way to say hello to my gynaecologist!! He’s also our IVF specialist and all round miracle worker 🙂

  4. I guess it could be awkward if they didn’t recognise you or know how they knew you. Of course they know you when you come in for an appointment, because they have prior warning of your name and history. So they act treat you like an old friend. But in a different environment that could all change.
I must say, I don’t think I’d like my clients coming up to me on the street….
