Bake: Banana Bread

I have been asked to take this recipe off the blog as by publishing it I am violating the copyright terms of the program.

I am disappointed that I can’t share this with you. I was not intending to make any money from this, but rather help promote the 12WBT – which I will no longer be doing either.

- Mixing, mixing -

- Fresh out of the oven -

- Yummy brecky! -

I’d love to hear how your banana bread recipe is different? Do you like banana bread? As a meal or as a snack?

  1. Yum! I love banana bread. And if this is healthy enough to have for breakfast I am all for it. Thanks again for bringing healthy recipes into my life:)

  2. Love love banana bread.. I bake it once a week at the moment. My little girl would eat the whole loaf if I let her! I have decided to try your recipe this week.. Love the oats in yours.. Mine is very similar except no oats ( I use dairy free spread and rice milk because of our dairy intolerant house too – I can’t taste a difference to my regular dairy recipe). I will let Annika know you two share a breakfast favourite!!!

  3. Believe it or not, I have never eaten banana bread, but this looks delicious and simple. You have inspired me to get baking and I’m certain the little Miss will enjoy it too. Great breakfast for those hectic mornings on the run!

  4. Banana Maple Syrup Bread – 125g butter, 1/2 cup caster sugar, 2 tblsp maple syrup, 2 eggs, 3 bananas, 3/4 cup plain flour, 3/4 cup self raising flour, 1/2 tsp bicarb soda. Mix butter, sugar and eggs with electric mixer. Add banana. Add flours and bicarb. Bake 35 min. SO much nicer with REAL maple syrup from Canada, but still yummy if you have to use the supermarket stuff.
I class this as a snack – morning or afternoon tea. When I bake it (not all that often) a slice comes to school for ‘play lunch’! Will try your healthier version though Al, sounds yum too! x Ally

  5. Must try this recipe. Like the addition of the oats for added goodness. Must send you the Wholemeal Banana and Date Muffin recipe. No Added sugar and taste so yum!

  6. came to find my new banana bread recipe…. gone! please can you pm it to me! blah.. my fault for not writing it down! now the kids will have to have the old fav.. have the oven on and the bananas mashed!
